Orphans and Widows Fund

Reach out to orphans and other children whose lives have been devastated by the AIDS epidemic — along with the elderly grandmothers who often bear the burden of care. Your gift will help meet urgent needs such as food, shelter, education, counseling, care for the sick, and job training. This is a wonderful way to give tangible hope to hurting people.

Clean Water Fund

Clean water, sanitation, and hygiene can cut a community’s child death rate in half. Your gift to International Volunteers Network’s Clean Water Fund will help save children from suffering or dying from parasites, worms, dysentery, and diarrhea. And they’ll be able to attend school, because they won’t have to spend.

Business Loan for AIDS Affected Women

Women are most often the primary caretakers of children orphaned or made vulnerable by the AIDS pandemic. Your gift to provide a small business loan for one of these women is a sustainable way to address this pandemic, because these women will use their business profits to clothe, feed, educate, and provide health care for the children in their homes. As the loans are repaid, they are recycled to help other women and children!

Education for 1 Child

"My children used to be chased away from school because they didn’t have school fees or uniforms," says Peace of Ndejje village. Your gift can help pay school fees or provide essentials like uniforms, textbooks, backpacks, and school supplies such as notepaper, scissors, pens and pencils, and crayons — helping ensure that one child has what he or she needs to come and learn.

Medical Care

Our gift goes 14 times as far! Every day, thousands of children die because they do not have access to basic medicines that could save their lives. Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease that kills nearly 1 million children every year. Research has shown that bed nets provide one of the best ways to protect kids from malaria. That's why we want to supply 3 million life-saving bed nets for children in the hard-hit African nations of Uganda.  Prevention education will be provided with every bed net distributed. Agricultural Programs

More than 3 million people go to bed hungry each night in Uganda — most of them women and children. But you can offer impoverished families a healthier future. Water and Sanitation

Every day, nearly 4,000 children die as a result of drinking unsafe water. Every 22 seconds a child perishes from waterborne diseases such as typhoid, cholera, and dysentery. More than two million people are blind as a result of contaminated water and bacteria. Please help bring safe, clean water to children and families across Africa and more in particular Uganda..

Environmental Fund

Your special one-time gift will help our staff train people in rural areas of Uganda to  manage their crops and households using methods that care for earth as God intended. Our experts will also deliver resources like wonder trees and clean venting stoves where they’re needed most. By protecting forests and other natural resources, you’ll be making a difference both now and for future generations.

Mangoes, oranges, and other fruits are packed with vitamins and nutrients that growing kids need. In just two or three years, such trees can also yield enough fruit for much-needed extra income, offer shade from the sweltering heat, and provide seedlings to give other families their own start in tree farming. Microfinance

Give a bike loan and help 10 families out of poverty. Your gift of a bicycle loan will actually provide 10 bicycles over the next five years — to enable 10 families to carry more goods to the market and increase their income. It all starts with a loan to help one mom or dad buy a bike. When that loan is repaid, within six months the money is loaned to the next recipient — and so on. Sports and Music

Give two soccer balls. Your gift of a soccer ball can replace a makeshift banana leaf ball or rounded wad of trash for an energetic boy or girl. Children around the world love soccer more than any other sport. Yet many children in poverty have never played with a real toy — let alone an actual soccer ball. That’s because when basics like food and health care are scarce, there’s no money left over for simple pleasures. Instead, these children kick around plastic bags and old clothes tied with strings or old cords. When the real soccer balls arrive, children like Abraham from Ndejje village are overjoyed.

Children Impacted by HIV & AIDS - Monthly

Millions of innocent children In Uganda are vulnerable because of HIV and AIDS. They’ve been forgotten, orphaned, or left alone to care for siblings or even their HIV-infected parents. More than 3 million children have lost one or both parents to AIDS and struggle to survive every day, and millions more are at risk of becoming orphans.

So many of these precious boys and girls struggle daily for basics like food or healthcare. They’re vulnerable to hunger, and isolation. Too many of these children face futures defined by poverty, malnourishment, and fewer educational opportunities.

For $20 a month, you can help one child after another escape a life of horror.

Each month you’ll provide care for orphans and other vulnerable children with things like healthcare and nourishing food. You’ll help children stay in school or receive vocational training by helping pay for school materials and fees. You'll also help equip volunteer caregivers who provide loving care in these circumstances. Your gifts will also help us offer HIV-prevention and abstinence training for youth as well as train community leaders to become advocates for children who have been orphaned or made vulnerable because of AIDS.
