Business Loan for AIDS Affected Women
Women are most often the primary caretakers of children orphaned or made vulnerable by the AIDS pandemic. Your gift to provide a small business loan for one of these women is a sustainable way to address this pandemic, because these women will use their business profits to clothe, feed, educate, and provide health care for the children in their homes. As the loans are repaid, they are recycled to help other women and children!

Education for 1 Child
"My children used to be chased away from school because they didn’t have school fees or uniforms," says Peace of Ndejje village. Your gift can help pay school fees or provide essentials like uniforms, textbooks, backpacks, and school supplies such as notepaper, scissors, pens and pencils, and crayons — helping ensure that one child has what he or she needs to come and learn.

Medical Care
Our gift goes 14 times as far! Every day, thousands of children die because they do not have access to basic medicines that could save their lives. Bed Nets for a Village
Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease that kills nearly 1 million children every year. Research has shown that bed nets provide one of the best ways to protect kids from malaria. That's why we want to supply 3 million life-saving bed nets for children in the hard-hit African nations of Uganda. Prevention education will be provided with every bed net distributed. Thanks to our partnership ,your gift will enables us to purchase bed nets at deeply discounted prices, enabling us to protect many more children!

Agricultural Programs
More than 3 million people go to bed hungry each night in Uganda — most of them women and children. But you can offer impoverished families a healthier future. Your gift today, combined with government grants, carries 6 times the impact to bring vital agricultural programs and other care to the world’s hungriest children and families.Unless parents can find regular sources of food, they have little hope of offering their children a healthy future.
International Volunteers Network offers seeds and tools to hardworking farmers for raising crops and livestock. We teach improved agricultural techniques such as crop rotation, drip irrigation, and the planting of trees that will enrich overworked soil. And we train parents in the importance of feeding their children foods that contain essential nutrients. Your donations make this crucial work possible.
Help ensure that children get the nutritious food they need to survive, grow, and reach their God-given potential. A gift of any amount will help meet the most urgent food and agricultural needs in the struggling communities we serve. Thank you for your generous support.

Water and Sanitation
Every day, nearly 4,000 children die as a result of drinking unsafe water. Every 22 seconds a child perishes from waterborne diseases such as typhoid, cholera, and dysentery. More than two million people are blind as a result of contaminated water and bacteria. Please help bring safe, clean water to children and families across Africa and more in particular Uganda..
To give water is to give life. Clean water can cut a community’s child mortality rate in half. It means food for families whose crops are failing due to drought. It saves livestock. It gives parents a powerful way to improve the health, hygiene, and well-being of their children, and enable them to reach their God-given potential.
Your gift will help us dig wells to bring safe, clean water to thousands. You can also help provide purification equipment to treat contaminated water, and water storage containers to save fresh rainwater for later use. And, most importantly, your gift will help improve children’s health with sanitation systems that keep water sources clean.
No other gift produces a more dramatic effect on life than clean water and sanitation. You can help wash away suffering by providing access to one of life’s most precious resources. Give now — for these children, every minute counts.

Seeds, Tools, and Training in Africa
Every day is a fight for survival in many parts of rural communities of Uganda. But you can help thousands of suffering children and families survive — and thrive. Your gift to provide seeds, tools, and training will be multiplied 4 times by grant funds, and can mean the difference between life and death for hungry children.
Severe food shortages often result from factors that compound each other: poor farming techniques, overplanting, environmental decline, drought, and natural disasters. Nutritious food is critical for a child’s growth and development. In fact, more than half of all childhood deaths can be traced to malnutrition and hunger. But you can help these children reach their God-given potential.
Your gift today will go toward International Volunteers Network programs in more than 60 rural communities across Uganda. You’ll help provide seeds and tools to assist farmers in raising crops and livestock, training in improved agricultural techniques, and guidance on environmental protection. Your gift can also help provide emergency food, clean water, and other care as needed to fight child hunger in Uganda. Help African families get back on their feet with critical resources like seeds, tools, and training to grow food for years to come.

Malaria and Malnutrition
Two of the world’s biggest child killers — malaria and malnutrition — often work hand-in-hand. A child who is malnourished is at greater risk of contracting and dying from malaria. In fact, tragically, 57 percent of malaria deaths are linked to malnutrition. Your gift today will multiply 4 times in impact to help us provide lifesaving food and prevent and treat malaria.
Both malaria and malnutrition are preventable and treatable, yet millions around the world are suffering today because they do not have access to simple malaria-fighting tools such as bed nets or to nutritious food to keep them healthy and strong.
International Volunteers Network works in Uganda to address the problems of malaria and malnutrition. We supply children and families with bed nets to keep away disease-carrying mosquitoes, and educate parents on the best ways to prevent and treat the disease. We also provide lifesaving food and other care to hungry children and families, working to improve the long-term food security of a community. Your gift to our malaria and malnutrition programs will multiply 4 times in impact to help prevent malaria and fight malnutrition.

Home for Orphaned Children
They lost their parents — and now they're in danger of losing their homes. Thousands of orphans live in crumbling, dilapidated huts that offer little protection from the elements. You can help a family of orphans keep their birthright — and protect their health — by providing a new or renovated home in a country like Uganda.
|
Home for a Mother and her Children
In countries like Uganda single mothers struggle to protect their children. Imagine the desperation of trying to care for your kids in a run-down, leaky hut. Your gift will bring joy to a mother's heart by providing a new or renovated home where she and her children can feel safe and secure.

Maximum Impact Fund
Help where it’s needed most ... AND get a gift for yourself or someone you care about! With your gift of $35 or more to our Maximum Impact Fund — which provides for the unique needs of children and families in Uganda— you’ll receive a charming bracelet handcrafted in Uganda by women actively engaged in caring for children in their communities who have lost parents to AIDS. This bracelet is a colorful reminder of how your gift is changing lives. At your request, the bracelet will arrive with a beautiful card explaining the impact of the donation.

Environmental Fund
Your special one-time gift will help our staff train people in rural areas of Uganda to manage their crops and households using methods that care for earth as God intended. Our experts will also deliver resources like wonder trees and clean venting stoves where they’re needed most. By protecting forests and other natural resources, you’ll be making a difference both now and for future generations.
Mangoes, oranges, and other fruits are packed with vitamins and nutrients that growing kids need. In just two or three years, such trees can also yield enough fruit for much-needed extra income, offer shade from the sweltering heat, and provide seedlings to give other families their own start in tree farming. Bless a family in Uganda with a grove of fruit trees today!

Microfinance
Give a bike loan and help 10 families out of poverty. Your gift of a bicycle loan will actually provide 10 bicycles over the next five years — to enable 10 families to carry more goods to the market and increase their income. It all starts with a loan to help one mom or dad buy a bike. When that loan is repaid, within six months the money is loaned to the next recipient — and so on. With one gift, you can help transform the lives of 10 families.

Sports and Music
Give two soccer balls. Your gift of a soccer ball can replace a makeshift banana leaf ball or rounded wad of trash for an energetic boy or girl. Children around the world love soccer more than any other sport. Yet many children in poverty have never played with a real toy — let alone an actual soccer ball. That’s because when basics like food and health care are scarce, there’s no money left over for simple pleasures. Instead, these children kick around plastic bags and old clothes tied with strings or old cords. When the real soccer balls arrive, children like Abraham from Ndejje village are overjoyed.

Children Impacted by HIV & AIDS - Monthly
Millions of innocent children In Uganda are vulnerable because of HIV and AIDS. They’ve been forgotten, orphaned, or left alone to care for siblings or even their HIV-infected parents. More than 3 million children have lost one or both parents to AIDS and struggle to survive every day, and millions more are at risk of becoming orphans.

For $20 a month, you can help one child after another escape a life of horror.
Each month you’ll provide care for orphans and other vulnerable children with things like healthcare and nourishing food. You’ll help children stay in school or receive vocational training by helping pay for school materials and fees. You'll also help equip volunteer caregivers who provide loving care in these circumstances. Your gifts will also help us offer HIV-prevention and abstinence training for youth as well as train community leaders to become advocates for children who have been orphaned or made vulnerable because of AIDS.
